Gestern gewann sie an Tisch zwei in einem der beiden Spitzenspiele der bis dato "100%igen" Frauen mit Schwarz gegen Zeinab Mamedyarov. Elisabeth Pähtz trennte sich von Daria Charokina mit Remis und befindet sich mit 3 Punkten in der Gruppe der Spieler von Platz 5 bis 25. Nach Zweitwertung ist sie 13te.

Sarah Hoolt hat einen halben Punkt weniger und ist damit 42te. Gestern gewann sie gegen Maria Manakova. Mit der Weißrussin Nastassia Ziaziulkina hat sie heute eine ehrgeizige und starke Gegnerin.

Constanta (deutsch: Konstanz)

Constanta ist mit knapp 300.000 Einwohnern die fünftgrößte Stadt Rumäniens und die zugleich die älteste. Gegründet wurde die Stadt im 7. Jahrhundert vor Chr. als Kolonie mit den Namen Tomoi von griechischen Ioniern aus Milet (Kleinasien). Unter römischer Herrschaft hieß sie zunächst Tomis und wurde unter Kaiser Constantin zu Ehrens einer Schwester Constantiana in Constanta umbenannt. Berühmtester Einwohner war der rämische Dichter Ovid, der hier von 8 v. Chr. bis zu seinem Tod 17 n. Chr. in Verbannung lebte. 597/598 verteidigte der oströmische Feldherr Priskos die Stadt erfolgreich gegen die Awaren, ein mongolisches Reitervolk, das im Gebiet des heutigen Ungarns sein politisches Zentrum hatte. 679 wurde die Stadt von den Bulgaren erobert und war bis zum Untergang des Oströmischen Reiches mehrfach umkämpft. 1420 wurde sie in das Osmanische Reich integriert. Nach dem Berliner Kongress von 1878 gehörte die Stadt zu Rumänien.
