16 Weltmeister zählt die Schachgeschichte. Der erste war Wilhelm Steinitz, der 16. ist Magnus Carlsen. Hier und in den nächsten Tagen stellt ChessBase 16 Weltmeisterpartien vor, jeweils eine pro Weltmeister. Ohne Angaben zu Gegner, Datum oder Spielort. Sie sind eingeladen, die 16 Partien den Weltmeistern zuzuordnen. Welcher Weltmeister hat welche Partie gespielt?
Um die Dinge überschaubarer und einfacher zu machen, wurden die 16 Weltmeister jedoch chronologisch geordnet in vier Gruppen eingeteilt. Die erste Gruppe bilden Wilhelm Steinitz, Emanuel Lasker, José Rául Capablanca und Alexander Aljechin.
Die Auswahl der Partien erfolgte weitgehend nach Zufallsprinzip – per Zufallsgenerator wurde aus Partiensammlungen der Weltmeister eine Partie ausgewählt. Berücksichtigt wurden nur Turnier- oder Wettkampfpartien und auch nur Gewinnpartien. Partien zwischen zwei Weltmeistern wurden ignoriert.

Wenn Sie möchten, begründen Sie Ihre Auswahl mit Hilfe der Kommentarfunktion. Natürlich kann man mit Hilfe der ChessBase Mega-Database leicht herausfinden, welcher Weltmeister welche Partie gegen wen gespielt hat, indem man eine beliebige Stellung aus der jeweiligen Partie nimmt und in der Mega-Datenbank danach sucht. Aber das macht wenig Spaß. Außerdem erfolgen die Auflösung des Rätsels und Teil 2 der Stilübungen in Kürze.
