Ein toller Erfolg, den sie bald danach noch toppen konnte. Beim 52. Medjunarodni Velemajstorski Turnir Sahistkinja in Belgrad, das gerade zu Ende ging (3. bis 11. März) ging Lu Miaoyi nämlich als Siegerin aus dem Turniersaal und distanzierte dabei ihre um 350 Elopunkte höher bewertete Landsfrau Xu Yuanyuan um einen vollen Punkt.
Lu Miaoyi verlor im Verlauf des Turniers keine einzige Partie und gestaltete vier Partien siegreich. Ihre Leistung entspricht damit einer Elozahl von fast 2400.

Außerdem spielte sie die meisten Züge, 72 Züge pro Partie im Schnitt. Ihre längste Partie (ein Remis) dauerte 172 Züge, wie David Halter bei der USCF berichtete.
