Zwei Siege und sieben Remisen standen am Ende auf der Habenseite von Nikita Vitiugovs Punktekonto, was einen Score von 5,5/9 bedeutete.
Nikita Vitiugov beendete das Turnier mit einem schnellen Remis gegen Richard Rapport
Der Russe war damit aber nicht der einzige Spieler, der es ohne Niederlage durch das Masters geschafft hatte. Das gelang auch Radoslaw Wojtaszek; der polnische Großmeister konnte allerdings nur eine Partie für sich entscheiden. Die meisten Siege gelangen Jan-Krzysztof Duda, dem zweiten Polen im Feld: Duda gewann drei Partien, musste jedoch auch zwei Niederlagen quittieren.
Mit einem Kurzsieg gegen den Inder Pentala Harikrishna konnte Boris Gelfand gestern noch in die Gruppe um Duda und Wojtaszek vorstoßen:
