In der 15. der insgesamt 18 Blitzrunden konnte sich Magnus Carlsen vorzeitig den Turniersieg sichern, als er Ian Nepomniachtchi - und irgendwie ja auch der ganzen Welt - aufzeigte, wie man gegen 1.b3 spielen sollte:

Nepo - mit seinem alten Widersacher Magnus Carlsen kommt er nie so richtig zurecht
Nach dem Sieg gegen Nepo stand Carlsen als Turniersieger fest - die Luft war raus, und gegen Firouzja und danach auch noch gegen Rapport kassierte der Exweltmeister erst einmal seine ersten Niederlagen in diesem Blitzturnier, ehe er es mit einem Sieg gegen Lupulescu dann doch standesgemäß abschließen konnte
